Cascade Consulting was founded in 2001 by Dr Kieran Conlan and Dr Topsy Rudd. Together, they have more than 40 years experience in environmental consultancy, water management and ecology.

Dr Kieran Conlan’s specialist area is in the relationship between aquatic function and ecosystem response. Amongst others, he has overseen projects for United Utilities, Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, Yorkshire Water and Thames Water. With a highly skilled knowledge of water industry policy, he has advised both the European Commission and Defra and has worked on projects as far afield as Pakistan, UAE, Dubai, Vietnam, Australia and the United States.

DR TOPSY RUDDBSc PhD DIC FCIWEM MIEMADirector
Dr Topsy Rudd is an environmental scientist with more than 25 years consultancy experience. She specialises in strategic planning and environmental studies for clients in the utilities and commercial development sectors. Producing water industry guidance for UKWIR, Thames Water and the EA, she has presented conference papers on SEA and cumulative effects assessment. Topsy lectures at Imperial College and Oxford Brookes.
