This project comprises an EIA of the ecological, hydrological and drainage features of the redevelopment of the Belfry Hotel and complex. Proposals have been made to demolish a significant section of the existing Belfry Hotel, the Bel Air Nightclub and the PGA HQ offices and Golf Academy Lodges.
It is anticipated that the existing building will be replaced with an eight storey 500 bedroomed 5 star hotel, golf resort with parking for 1600 vehicles, (900 in a single level underground car park and 700 above ground spaces) and the implementation of the approved new entrance from the junction of the Tamworth and Lichfield Roads.
As the materials excavated for the hotel and associated structures will be used to landscape the existing three golf courses and/or stockpiled, the red planning application line has been extended to include the entire golf course complex.
